Common Questions

How and where would I use the final videos?

Here are several ideas, but consider doing some/all based on your own well-crafted strategy. Depending on your thoroughness, any one of these might take days or weeks to fully design and deploy.

  • Google places a premium on videos hosted about the “About” page of your website.

  • Use on your Google Map My Business.

  • Pin to the top of your social media feeds such as Twitter and Facebook.

  • Feature it as the top button on your digital business card (e.g. linktree.com).

  • If using video messaging services like Bombbomb.com, include it prominently in your profile that can be seen by your receipients.

  • Include as a link with short description, in your email footer. E.g. “Get to know me in this short video.”

  • Consider shortening the link using Bit.ly, and place on your business card - again with the short “get to know me” description. An example URL could be: bit.ly/gettoknowfirstnamelastname. (Bitly is case sensitive. Bitly provdes additional metrics that could be useful to your decision making.)

  • Include on presentations and handouts used at conferences, small groups, and one on one sessions.

  • Ask friends and family to share it as they feel would be most impactful. Similarly, use the “about page” as your main talking point during networking events, and ask that people help by sharing to their feeds.

  • Use in an initial press release, and then in the footer of all other press releases.

  • Use, with the description, in the chats of various online Zoom (or similar technology) meetings, whether that is for larger networking meetups, or smaller groups.

  • View the video on your monitor and take a screen shot of the frame you’d like to use as a still image. Overlay with a shorter bitly link, to your video. Display that as your social media banner (e.g. Facebook, Linkedin).

  • If invited to a podcast to tell your story, lead and close with a mention of the link or About page.

  • Create a small decal for your vehicle(s), with your business name and bitly link.

  • Add a skill to Alexa such as “Learn more about name". This can be done by a professional service. (example)

How long does it take?

That really depends on the person being filmed. If they’d like to get their message across in a very short window, such as 30 minutes, then that’s certainly possible but on average we are on site for 90 minutes to two hours.

Where are the videos actually “stored”?

That depends on what you would like. We can provide one or more from the list below.

  1. An external computer drive such as a USB memory stick. This is the most private but also the highest risk for loss or damage.

  2. Publishing on YouTube.

    1. Set as PRIVATE. Only you and people you choose can watch your video.

    2. Set as UNLISTED. Anyone with the video link can watch your video.

    3. Set as PUBLIC. Everyone can find it in a search and watch your video.

  3. Video file transfers to you directly, for your own use at your choosing.
